If I close my eyes and just focus on this, I get an overall pleasant and peaceful feeling. It's ethereal and engaging, meditative but not boring. Really beautiful. Joe Brockmeier
As much as I love his solo stuff, these collaborations always offer new dimensions. This compilation offers a nice starting point to delve deeper. Carsten Pieper
I spend a lot of time in my work talking about stories, and talking about different kinds of stories. On this recording (album) Steve takes you (me?) on beautiful, meandering journeys that tell the story of Steve’s conscious thoughts in a moment. Nothing more, nothing less. Many authors say that their stories only really become told as they are written. With only the general direction and some characters being pre-defined. That’s how I view this work. The songs only become written as they are played. And the parts influence the song, as the song influences the parts. And so, the story is told. Steve Yates

The second LP from Kuedo feels like the soundtrack for future-noir, with rippling, uneasy synths and steadily-increasing tension. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 1, 2016
Another - not surprisingly, given Steve's situation - very introspective release by this outstanding and idiosyncratic artist. I sincerely hope for a complete recovery! All the best wishes to you, Steve!!! Carsten Pieper
