A little late to the party, but here's a positive song I composed for my best friend/sister, Angela Sadberry. I wanted to capture the memory and the feeling of the days after we first met at the Montessori House of Children. My first day there I was crying and crying because my parents were leaving me at pre-school for the first time. A small hand touched my arm gently and the person attached to it said something like, "It's ok. They'll be back. Wanna go play on the swings?" The swings were little animals that toddlers could 'ride'. She had a red elephant and I had a light blue horse. Unless it was raining, riding those swings first thing was our morning ritual. I tried to capture the sound of the swings in the harmonics, and her reassuring and abiding friendship in the melody.
